NEAS is providing a solution for the growing number of unwanted and neglected exotic animals needing permanent expert care and specialised accommodation:
Exotic birds: parrots (macaws, cockatoos, parakeets) emus
Exotic mammals: chinchillas, marmosets, monkeys, raccoons, wolves, degus and all non-native species
Reptiles and amphibians: lizards, turtles (terrapins, tortoises) snakes and invertebrates

NEAS is caring for injured native birds, mammals (bats, foxes, deer) and amphibians at our Wildlife Hospital.

NEAS is rescuing horses that have been abandoned, mistreated or their owners can no longer afford to keep them.

Mission Statement
To respond swiftly to all calls regarding animals in trouble and help on a case by case basis by either

  • collecting an injured, abandoned or distressed animal
  • providing immediate temporary or long-term accommodation and care
  • giving expert advice
  • working with relevant organisations and authorities, such as the Gardai, Wildlife Service and SPCA’s

Ethos
Voluntary, non-profit, sustainable, funded by donations.

NEAS was founded by Kevin Cunningham and Yvonne Smalley, bringing together over forty years experience with exotic animals to create a Sanctuary dedicated to helping all exotic animals.
